Common Yarrow, the Woman’s Herb
There are not many herbs to pick in November. But Common Yarrow is not one of the many. When the grass is damp and yellowish in late fall and the fog covers the sun for most of the short days, you can still find white tiny flowers clustered in the meadows. They smell earthy, aromatic and slightly bitter. It is a comforting smell. Their leaves are lovely, I can never stop admiring them: the tiny, beautifully designed ladders.
Common Yarrow is the woman’s herb. It helps us, women of all ages. It regulates the period for young woman and for the older ones, it helps to overcome problems with menopauses, such as depression or hot flushes. Women should drink Common Yarrow tea daily. This common but important herb is waiting in the greens — free of charge, ready to be picked.
The most heeling part are the flowers. Use one teaspoon of them (or couple of whole herbs with the stalks and leaves) and pour one quarter of a litre of hot water on them. Let it blend for a few minutes and then drink the tea.

Common Yarrow can also be used externally on wounds. It helps them heal faster and reduces scars. Let the flowers extract in hot water for about 20 minutes, let it cool, wet a linen and apply to the wound.
Tips: You can dry the flowers and keep them for winter.
